The Argenta Community Theater (ACT) is a non profit organization committed to serving the community through education and advancement of the performing arts. Our facility offers a unique versatility unlike any other in Arkansas. ACT is the first of its kind in Arkansas. The strategic building design is such that any type of event for a maximum of 300 people* can be accommodated, and the black-box theater allows flexible staging techniques for smaller theater companies. ACT will feature local, regional, and national productions, book readings, private and business events.

Greg Thompson Fine Art is located in an historic 19th century building in the Argenta Art District of downtown North Little Rock, Arkansas. The gallery provides 3,000 square feet of both public and private viewing space with a focus on Southern Regionalism. “Tales From the South” is a radio show created and produced by Paula Martin Morell, who is also the show’s host, in conjuction with Temenos Publishing Company. The show is presented by The Argenta Arts Foundation with additional support provided by AY (About You) Magazine, the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute, and William F. Laman Public Library. The show is taped live on Tuesday nights at Starving Artist Cafe’ in the Argenta Arts District of North Little Rock, Arkansas. The night is a cross between a house concert and a reading/show, with incredible food and great company.
Temenos Publishing Company is a division of Starving Artist Cafe’, LLC. We were founded in 2005 by writer and writing teacher Paula Morell, MFA.
The THEA Foundation is a nonprofit, public foundation founded in 2001 by the parents of Thea Kay Leopoulos, Linda and Paul David Leopoulos. The founders and Board of Directors have adopted the mission of carrying Thea’s legacy forward through advocating the importance of art in the development of our youth through educational and promotional activities and to encourage individual participation in art through scholarship, partnership, and other programs.
The philosophy of THEArtists Gallery and Studios is to create, foster, and preserve affordable and sustainable space for emerging artists to work, sell, and exhibit. THEArtists supports the continued professional growth of emerging artists and enhances the cultural, artistic, and economic vitality of the historic Argenta Arts District.

Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum
The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum (AIMM) features guided tours of the historic USS Razorback, the longest-serving submarine in the world. More than just a military museum, we have a research library, theater, and large exhibits.?seasonal hours, please call for information.
The Arkansas Queen is an elegant three deck replicated stern wheeler. This modern riverboat has two climate controlled decks and a topside observation deck. Sightseeing excursions, as well as lunch and dinner/dance cruises are provided year-round on the beautiful Arkansas River. The Arkansas Queen is also perfect for groups, special occasions and events.
The Arkansas River Trail, a paved pedestrian and bicycle trail, begins at the downtown Junction Bridge along the Arkansas River through Emerald and Burns Park to Cook’s Landing where it meets the “Big Dam Bridge.” At this point, the trail crosses the Arkansas River over the Murray Lock and Dam, where it connects with the Little Rock portion of the river trail to complete a 17-mile loop back to the downtown Junction Bridge.
With fixed seat capacity of 5,800 people, Dickey-Stephens Park is the finest place for a ballgame and an outing for the whole family.
Junction Bridge
The Junction Bridge spans the Arkansas River between the Verizon Arena in Argenta and the Amphitheater at the River Market District in Little Rock. It is the only pedestrian bridge in the United States to include a lift span. The lift span is permanently in a raised position to allow for boat traffic on the Arkansas River. To access the lift span area pedestrians may climb the access stairs or ride on the glass elevators located on either end. (501) 975-9003

The North Shore Riverwalk features a picturesque promenade of the Arkansas River and the Trail of Tears Exhibit. The exhibit recognizes North Little Rock’s geographic importance as a significant station along the Tail of Tears. An estimated 30,000 to 40,000 Native Americans passed through the area that is now North Little Rock during tis forced relocation by the federal government. (501) 758-1424

The Baker House is one of the gems of the Argenta Arts District and features ornate, curly pine woodwork and elaborate oak mantels. The exterior includes a three-story tower, fountains, beautiful gardens and even a hitching post for the horse riding guest. The house is decorated with Victorian antiques and period pieces. Each bedroom has a private bath, with some featuring fireplaces and claw-foot soaking tubs. Every morning breakfast is served in the formal dining room on period china. Built in 1898-1899, the Baker House was placed on the National Register of Historic Structures in 1978.

Crush Wine Bar
Argenta has a new kind of bar. Joe St. Ana, with over 15 years of retail experience in the wine and liquor industry, has moved Crush Wine Bar to Argenta. The wine tasting venue offers 100 kinds of wine sold by the bottle, 50 by the glass, and appetizers to complement the wines. Wine tastings are offered on alternate Mondays. Local artists’ paintings add an artistic ambience to the tasting venue.
MacDaddy’s Bar & Grill
Love to play pool? MacDaddy’s is the place for both the novice and professional to have fun. Pool and dart tournaments are regularly scheduled. The staff is friendly, which makes having the coldest beer in the neighborhood more enjoyable. MacDaddy’s serves appetizers, pizza, burgers, and nachos. Come and join the crew for a cold one at MacDaddy’s.
Reno’s is an eclectic dining experience, specializing in sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups and pizzas. Reno’s is known for its laid back atmosphere and exceptional service. They offer a full bar with an extensive wine list. Live music starts at 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Ristorante Capeo is an intimate and romantic gem of an Italian restaurant. Capeo offers dining with an extensive wine list from the onsite wine cellar. Classically trained award-winning Executive Chef Eric Isaac trained in Italy. Traditional dishes such as lasagna, osso busso and tiramisu are complimented by house specialties duck valentine and a wonderful elk chop.
Riverfront Steakhouse serves prime steaks prepared using a special process which results in a distinctive flavor. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxed – an excellent choice for parties, entertaining business associates or a romantic dinner for two.
Experience Sidetracks, a hot spot for locals and out of towners to gather for happy hour. Sidetracks is surrounded by art gallery’s and great restaurants and only blocks from Verizon Arena with a trolley stop at the front door. Built during Prohibition, locals have long talked about the unusual phenomena and ghost sightings that have occurred in this historic building. You are on the right track at Sidetracks.
Owned and operated by Chef Jason Morell, the Starving Artist Café features paninis, crepes, gourmet salads, and daily soup, quiche, fish and pasta specials for lunch. Ump’s
Ump’s is a fun sports bar, and is all about baseball – from the big screen TVs which feature games, to the casual baseball decor. You can even watch the Traveler game live from the bar. The fare includes pub-style appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts.

Argenta Bead Company features fine handmade jewelry and a full selection of beads and beading supplies comes from around the world and spans the ages. Come in and make your own or select something unique from the in-house jewelry designers.
Argenta Drug Company
The Argenta Drug Company Building is an historic anchor in the Argenta Arts District. Constructed in 1877 it is one of the oldest buildings in the district. The building has been home to a pharmacy there ever since. It is one of the oldest continually run pharmacy’s west of the Mississippi River.
The Argenta Market features fresh baked bread and pastries, homemade pastas, gourmet and home-style foods, plus a deli. The market provides Arkansas-grown produce in season, fine meats and a wide assortment of cheeses. The Argenta Market is a hybrid of organic and traditional to meet all your grocery needs.
